We want you to enjoy your candles to the fullest. Therefore, we want to make sure you follow the best practices for safely burning candles! Here are the dos and don’ts of candle burning.
- DO trim wicks to 1/4″ before each burn, including the first one!
- DON’T leave children or pets unattended with a lit candle.
- DO burn in a well-ventilated area.
- DON’T leave a candle lit for more than four hours.
- DO place a candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- DON’T leave the candle burning when leaving the room or building.
- DO clear a foot of area around the candle.
- DON’T use water to extinguish a candle. If possible, use a candle snuffer.
